Abstract:Fuelled by the wave of global network economy, banks in China have emerged online, the appearance and development of which is the result of the development of the network economy and electronic commerce model. The emergence and development of online banking is the need of the times. It will certainly promote the banking industry in transition, make Internet banking business continued to be updated and improved, and have a far-reaching impact on future society. Although online banking in China has been developing rapidly in recent years, great gaps still exist between it and the online banking of developed countries. This paper expounds the definition and advantages of online banking, and then analyzes the special development status quo of online banking in China and its reasons. As online payment is still the main business of China’s online banking at present, this paper takes China Merchants Bank personal online banking as an example and studies the online payment model of it based on theoretical research. In the end, it comes to the conclusion hat in the current development stage of online banking in China, the online payment model of VMB online banking is suitable fore most of the banks in China.
