Abstract: The Decameron, which enjoys a great fame in nowadays China, has a dozen different translations. This thesis aims to study the first four, chronologically close in terms of the dates of publication, comparing their similarities and differences, analyzing the nuances of attitude assumed by the four translators, to understand their interpretations of this masterpiece when it appears in the world of Chinese literary.
