Profile

My research investigates the interface relations among different grammatical modules within the framework of formal/generative linguistics, with a particular focus on the syntax–semantics interface and the division of labor between these two. I am also interested in the potential contributions of morphology, pragmatics, and phonology to the systematic analysis of linguistic phenomena. Drawing on a background in cognitive science, I further explore how the explanatory tools of formal linguistics can be effectively integrated into the broader theoretical framework of cognitive science. My current research centers on complex predicate structures, including causative/causation, contextualized argument interpretation, and gradable adjectives with vague semantics.
