Zhang Kai, Head of International Students of International Institute of Chinese Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), Director of the Office of Beijing Culture Exchange Research Center , BFSU , Director and Assistant of the Confucian Master Program of Prof Roger T. Ames, a world-renowned comparative philosopher, Member of International Confucian Association (ICA), Program Officer of The Liaison Committee of the members of the ICA, Member of Council of International Cultural Exchange Center ,Henan Province, and Researcher of the Center for International Chinese Language and Culture of Anshan Normal University. I am mainly engaged in international Confucian and Sino-foreign cultural exchange, and has participated in planning, organizing and editing two books by Prof Roger T. Ames, namely, Chinese Philosophy of “Shengsheng” - Anthology of Prof Roger T. Ames' s Philosophical Thoughts (People's Publishing House, 2021), Indivisible One and Many: Confucianism and the New World Cultural Order (Shandong Friendship Publishing House, 2022). Participated in the preparation and proofreading of the book “Enlightened Yiduobufen” (Zhejiang University Press, 2018); 2017-present, served as the executive director of the “Translating China” project of Prof Roger T. Ames, and has undertaken the “Translating China” project, which has published the following four books:
“Confucian Role Ethics —— A Moral Version for the 21st Century”, “Appreciating the Chinese Difference: Engaging Roger T. Ames on Methods, Issues, and Roles”, “Against Individualism A Confucian Re-Thinking of the Foundations of Morality, Politics,Family,and Religion”, and “Theorizing “Persons” for Confucian Role Ethics: A Good Place to Start ”.From 2018 to 2025, served as the executive director of the “Confucian Studies Summer Institute” jointly organized by the International Confucian Association (ICA) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) for eight consecutive years, actively promoting the exchanges and mutual understanding between Chinese civilization and different civilizations in the world.
