便欲孤独过一生？        That thou consum'st thy self in single life?

世人若孀泣不停        The world will be thy widow and still weep
因你身后未留形        That thou no form of thee hast left behind,
寻常孀妇思夫时        When every private widow well may keep
子女眼中有夫影        By children's eyes, her husband's shape in mind:
        
世上纨绔多奢费        Look what an unthrift in the world doth spend
钱财不过易人用        Shifts but his place, for still the world enjoys it;
美之耗损终有尽        But beauty's waste hath in the world an end,
持而不用徒葬送        And kept unused the user so destroys it.
        
于己尚为残忍事        No love toward others in that bosom sits
岂有爱意在心中        That on himself such murd'rous shame commits.
